Sometimes a glittering career hides many of the most tragic stories. Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA as well as the World championships in hurdle events in 2013, reached this position through a great deal of work and perseverance. Jones grew up with a poor and difficult life as the child of a single mother who was also a mother to five kids. She was constantly in motion as well as having lived in the basement of a church for a length of time. Jones was required to relocate to a different school each throughout her senior year as a result of her nomadic life. Jones who was interested in the track events at Theodore Roosevelt High School, stayed far from her mother to pursue her interests. She lived at four different homes during her time in high school to ensure that she could attend all of her classes at one time. Jones received the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Award for the Best Athlete during her time at school. She also was a part of the school orchestra, as cellist. Jones became one of college's top hurdlers when she entered. In 2002, at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in 2002, Jones took home the 100-meter hurdles. In addition, she was on the winning team of 100-meter relay. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles competition in the years 2003 as well as 2004. Jones' career began in 2005 after she completed her degree. Jones began training to prepare for a career in track. She was the winner of each of the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions during the same season.
Brandt, who was raised in Cape Town South Africa with her parents and siblings immigrated from Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand when she was in her teens. After being discovered by local casting directors, Brandt assumed the character of Naevia in the Starz hit series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Her performance was a hit with audiences and producer Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a popular fan favorite Vertigo/DC character from comic books and Vertigo/DC series Lucifer played her part in the cult Netflix show. Forbes has ranked Lucifer the show with the highest amount of binge-watching in 2021. Brandt will be next in a six-episode Walking Dead limited spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Giurira, which will air in 2024. In the summer of 2023's Netflix adult animated series Captain Fall, Brandt stars opposite Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni. Lesley Ann Brandt, born 2nd December 1981 in Cape Town South Africa. Her talent is impressive as a New Zealander actress. Lesley Brandt moved along with the entire family into Auckland New Zealand in 1999. In Auckland Brandt was initially an employee in the retail sector, and later was promoted to IT Management Consultant. Following a couple of modeling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. Her graduation was with a degree in acting in 2008. Then in 2009, she started learning in Meisner Methods of Study. Lesley Brandt landed her first significant acting position in New Zealand in TV Drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt is a supporting actor on the New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. In a later sci-fi arrangement This Is Not My Life she played the town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the show Spartacus: Blood and Sand in the role of Naevia as a hostage. She later appeared in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena Miniseries.
